Born in Leeds, England; Andy has played guitar since the age of nine.
Studying classical guitar and then electric, he went on to the Leeds College of Music where he attained a Graduate Diploma in Light Music (First Class) on jazz guitar with Eric Kershaw. He later served at the College as an external examiner.
As a freelance guitarist his work includes West End Theatre, Recording, Radio, Television and Concerts. For nine years he was Musical Director to the comedy duo Little and Large.
Andy had the pleasure of playing for Her Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal Family, at a private party to celebrate the 50th. Anniversary of the Coronation.
For the past few years Andy has played in several musicals in London's West End and is back for more at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane London playing guitars in Oliver.
